Response Letter - The Update of Supplementary Medical Professions Ordinance (Cap. 359)
On 3 April 2025, we, Hong Kong Physiotherapists' Union, wrote a letter to Secretary for Health of The Government of HKSAR in response to the recent bill submitted to the Legislative Council, which proposes a new legal framework for allowing patients to access physiotherapy services without a doctor’s referral under specified circumstances.
In the letter, we have expressed several concerns and recommendations of ours to ensure the successful implementation of this important reform.
