The surging demand for physiotherapy andthe lacking behind of manpower supply of registered physiotherapists hassignificant impact on the professional and service development of physiotherapyin Hong Kong.

Following the self-financed Physiotherapytraining programs launched by the Tung Wah College in 2018, the Open Universityof Hong Kong and the Caritas Institute of Higher Education are going to launchself-financed BSc (PT) programs concurrently in Fall 2020.

How then to strike the balance betweensupply and demand of PT manpower in the coming decade?

Are the self-finance programs deliveredby different institutes compatible to the subvented program?

How should we team up our newgeneration(s) to take up different professional challenges such as OpenReferral, Specialization, Innovation Technologies for ourProfessional Advancement?

"Are the self-financed programsgoing to excel the subventedprogram?"

On 27th June.2020, Hong KongPhysiotherapists’ Union is honoured to have invited the program leaders of thethree captioned Institutes to share their program details for interactivediscussions at the Forum on “A New Era of Physiotherapy 2020-   The Way Ahead’
